EunKyoung Lee, PhD

Optical Microscopy Technician

EunKyoung has a MSc and PhD in Plant Biology from Yonsei University in Seoul. She did her post-doctoral studies the Ohio State University, Columbus, USA with Dr. Fred Sack and moved with him to UBC Vancouver with research focused on plant epidermal cell development. With Dr. Abel Rosado her research primarily focused on the study of membrane contact sites between the endoplasmic reticulum and plasma membrane. Also working with Dr. Ljerka Kunst, she researched for understanding of membrane contacts between the ER and chloroplast with regard to lipid synthesis. Through her post-doctoral studies and her experience as a research associate, EunKyoung has gained a diverse understanding of optical microscopy techniques.
