Dr. Eunji Park, a postdoctoral researcher in the Leander lab (Zoology), was able to visualize the different local microenvironment within a marine organism using the Leica Stellaris 8 FALCON. DNA was stained with a fluorescent dye. The left image shows a fluorescence image based on the intensity; the right image shows a color-coded fluorescence lifetime imaging of the sample. Red color shows a short lifetime, blue shows a long lifetime.
